Could I Get a Second Round Offer?
The Faculty of Arts is not planning to make second round offers, as it normally fills its quotas through the first offer round.
All applications were considered for selection in the first round. All special consideration and Access Melbourne information has already been considered.
Could I Get An Irregular Offer?
Normally, the Faculty of Arts fills its undergraduate Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) places in the first offer round. The faculty may consider requests for irregular offers for Australian fee places in Arts from any student who meets the required academic standard. Is There Any Other Way I Can Study Arts at Melbourne University?
The Single Subject Study/Community Access Program allows people to study single subjects in the Faculty of Arts without meeting degree entry requirements. Students may increase their chances of selection into a degree at a later date by performing at a high level in at least 4 subjects (50 points of study).
Can I Apply to Transfer?
You can apply through Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) to transfer into an Arts course from any other course at any institution. All applications are assessed on academic merit, including any Year 12 and tertiary results within the last ten years.
To be eligible to transfer from another institution prospective applicants are required to have successfully completed the equivalent of at least one full-time year of tertiary study. Transferring students may be eligible for credit for previous studies. Credit will be assessed on enrolment.
If you wish to transfer mid-year you must apply directly to the University. Please note that places may not be available mid-year – further information is be available on the Faculty of Arts website.
