An additional TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP will be available in 2014 at the approximate value of $12,400.
The Alma Hansen Scholarship will be awarded to assist with travel to pursue studies overseas.
Eligibility - this scholarship is open to graduates of the University of Melbourne, who are currently enrolled or intend to enrol, in a postgraduate program at the University of Melbourne and who wish to pursue their study and research which is relevant to their graduate studies at an overseas venue.
The venue is to be approved for these purposes by the Council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
The value of any scholarship awarded will be determined after considering the successful applicant's proposed program of study, access to other financial resources and estimate of travel and living expenses. Applicant's financial need will be considered, i.e. access to other financial sources (APA, GRATS, MATS/PORES, Department).
The Selection Committee will consider applications for the principal scholarship and for smaller additional grants. Any income surplus to providing the Alma Hansen Scholarship may be used to provide loans and travelling scholarships.
