The Faculty enrols high-performing, passionate students from Australia and around the globe, who gain professionally focussed and industry-relevant experience in our undergraduate and graduate programs.

A diverse range of students join the Faculty's teaching programs. The Access Melbourne and Graduate Equity programs ensure that there is a pathway to the Faculty's undergraduate and graduate study programs regardless of the personal or financial circumstances of applicants. This includes access for prospective student groups historically under-represented in higher education.

Students may also be supported by scholarships and prizes through the generosity of individuals and industry partners.

The Faculty of Arts regularly hosts enrichment activities and events for students, in addition to their formal studies. Partners regularly participate in such events, and in this way provide industry insights and input into the education of our students.

Involvement of partners in teaching activities of the Faculty

Faculty staff value the unique insights and perspectives of partner organisations and industry practitioners, and often involve guest speakers and seminar presenters in their teaching programs.

Industry linked PhD projects

Partner organisations may work closely with Faculty members in the development of industry-focussed research projects, and can sponsor a PhD student to undertake research in an area of value to both industry partners and the University. For more detail, please visit Industry Linked PhD Projects.

Employ our graduate students

University of Melbourne graduates are among the most employable in the world. In 2010, the University of Melbourne was ranked ninth with regards to the employability of its graduates (QS World Universities Rankings, 2010).

A career and networking community for graduate students provides career-related tools and tips for graduate students, and the chance for partners to advertise positions and recruit directly through the portal.

Employers also have the option of meeting and recruiting students on campus.
