Opportunities to Partner with Us
Partnerships with the Faculty of Arts can take a number of forms, and may include one or a number of these areas:
- Consultancies and customised training programs for organisations which draw upon the expertise of our Faculty members, either through dedicated short courses or postgraduate study opportunities for staff.
- Engaging with our students, including hosting students as interns or for a group project, sponsorship of Faculty activities, guest speakers, industry panels and careers events, and student scholarships and prizes.
- Research partnerships and activities, such as joint research activities and industry-linked PhD projects.
- Opportunities for community groups and organisations to work with the Faculty.
- Faculty partnerships with Alumni and Friends.
- Contribution to the Faculty's future direction as a member of the Industry Advisory Board.
What do we look for in partners?
- Partners who share the University of Melbourne's commitment to improving public policy and building a stronger and more tolerant community, through intellectual freedom, honesty, openness and rigour.
- Partners who have the potential to enrich Faculty teaching and research, and who complement its professionally-oriented teaching programs, research profile and strengths.
- Partnerships that connect our students to industry practitioners and future employers.
- Partners with whom the Faculty can have a genuine exchange of ideas - where we can share our expertise, and at the same time learn about cutting-edge industry practice.
- Partners who can contribute to the Faculty's activities through scholarships, bursaries and other financial and philanthropy contributions.
What do we offer our partners in return?
- Access to the latest thinking and research of one of Australia's finest humanities and social sciences research centres, and the chance to utilise expert knowledge and analysis in ways that benefit partner organisations.
- Opportunities to work closely with and to develop meaningful and long-lasting partnerships with the Faculty in ways that benefit both organisations.
- Opportunities to meet, inspire and engage with our students.
- Access to a pool of high-achieving graduate students with specialist skills at the beginning of their careers, and those who have returned to study and have industry experience and newly expanded skill sets.
- Recognition and the chance to profile an organisation within and alongside the Faculty of Arts, through events, activities and other publicity.
