In 2015 researchers from the School of Culture and Communication conducted a pilot study entitled Theatre and Affect. The pilot was a collaboration with the Melbourne Theatre Company's Education and Families new regional outreach program, and the touring production of "I Call my Brothers" to regional Victorian schools.

This research presentation begins with an overview of and findings from the 2015 pilot, the new methodologies employed to research "impact", and the articulation of findings into a major ARC Linkage Project; Creative Convergence - Enhancing theatre for young people in the regions, a project involving eight theatre companies and venues that work with young people throughout regional Victoria. The Digital Studio's lunchtime seminar series showcases research projects of internal and visiting academics from across the digital humanities, arts and social sciences. Bring your lunch and your appetite for engaging research.
