  • Projectors

The two projectors in the Digital Workshop can show content independently or mirror each other. To turn on the projectors, activate the touch panel (located between the windows) by touching the screen.

If the touch screen is displaying the controls for the 'Exhibition Space', change the room by selecting 'Rooms' in the top left-hand corner of the screen and then choose 'Arts West B, room 208'.

When using the projectors in this room the lights closest to the projections should turn off. On occasion this does not occur, which causes them to wash out the projectors. To remedy this simply reselect the input devices (Computer A/B, Laptop A/B) on the touch panel and the lights closest to the projections will switch off.

  • Computers

There are two computers (running Windows) with wireless keyboards and mouse, located in the cupboard to the right of the screens. These computers require a University of Melbourne log-in.

  • Laptop connectivity

One or more laptops can also stream content onto the projectors using the Inputs “A” and “B” located on the red poles at the end of each desk. A third “Lectern” input is also available in the red baseboard between the two projection screens.

These three inputs are HDMI only - please bring your own cables and adaptors. Some adaptors can be supplied by the Digital Studio if advanced notice (48 hours) is given.

  • Interactive whiteboard

The projectors can also function as interactive whiteboards. Stylus for controlling the computers in this mode are available in the cupboard to the right of the screens. If the stylus does not work straightaway, restart the ‘EyeRis’ software from the desktop. This functionality can be used with Zoom and StarBoard collaborative tools.

Please use the ink whiteboard markers only on the centre glass panel.
