Welcome from new Director Associate Professor Audrey Yue

As I take up my new position as incoming Director, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our founding and outgoing Director Professor Nikos Papastergiadis for his leadership over the past three years.

Assoc. Professor Audrey Yue

Since its formation in 2012, RUPC has secured $3.8m of funding in projects that have investigated new social and cultural practices; developed a more proactive research practice that engages and embeds industry, government and community; provided a new feedback model of research and training, and; actively contributed to public policy and institutional practices.

I look forward to building the next stage of our research program with Nikos who will continue to take a central role as Research Professor. RUPC will consolidate its cultural impact research objective by developing targeted partnerships internally and externally, including collaborating with the Melbourne Sustainability Society Institute to further the cultural sustainability agenda, and working with leading arts organisations in the Southbank precinct to develop new evaluative frameworks for cultural participation.

As we resume our calendar of seminars and public engagements, I look forward to seeing everyone in the next few weeks at our forthcoming events.
