Alma Hansen Scholarship
The Alma Hansen Scholarship is open to graduates of the University of Melbourne pursuing graduate studies in the University and will be awarded for the purpose of assisting the recipient to travel overseas to pursue studies related to his or her major interest.

Eligibility
The scholarship is open to students who meet all three of the following criteria:
- Graduates of the University of Melbourne, AND
- Currently enrolled, or intend to enrol, in a postgraduate program at the University of Melbourne, AND
- Who wish to pursue their study and research which is relevant to their graduate studies at an overseas venue. (The venue is to be approved for these purposes by the Council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts.)
Applicants can only apply online for this scholarship.
You must supply the following documents to support your application and can upload these into the electronic application form:
- Scholarship Budget Form
- Current Academic Record
- Two (2) academic references
- Evidence of financial need and resources available. Applicant's financial need will be considered, i.e. access to other financial sources (APA, GRATS, MATS/PORES, Department)
- Any other information to support application that may assist the committee in making its decision

Applications must be submitted by closing date.
The judges' decision will be final and the University reserves the right not to award the prize in the event it is considered that no work of sufficient merit has been submitted. Winning applicants please note the University of Melbourne reserves the right to publish the name of the winning applicant on its websites and other University of Melbourne publications.
