Anna Lodewyckz Icelandic Scholarship
The Anna Lodewyckx Icelandic Scholarships consists of a major and possibly a minor scholarship.
The Major Scholarship is open to graduates or final year honours undergraduates of an Australian university or any university in the world and who have knowledge of a Scandinavian language. The recipient is willing to undertake an approved course of study in a Scandinavian university.
A minor scholarship MAY be awarded towards costs associated with study in Iceland. The Scholarship requires that the candidate shall undertake to reside in a Scandinavian country and to attend an approved course at a Scandinavian university. For the purposes of this scholarship Scandinavian country is Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or the Faroe Islands.
Eligibility
The Scholarship is open to applicants who meet ALL of the following criteria
- Students who have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in an Australian University (or admitted to another degree within Australia or internationally, any university in the world, which is approved by the selection committee); AND
- Who possess an elementary knowledge of a Scandinavian language.
- Open to local or international students at the University of Melbourne
Note: International students, outside of Australia applying for this scholarship please submit a half page summary of your intended studies to the selection committee. Please submit your application and summary at least 2 weeks before closing date.
- The recipient of the minor scholarship must be willing to undertake an approved course at a Scandinavian University during one semester only.
- The recipient of the major scholarship must be willing to undertake an approved course at a Scandinavian University during one academic year.
Applicants can only apply online for this scholarship.

- Current Curriculum Vitae (Resume)
- Details of your proposed course of study (maximum 2 pages)

Applications must be submitted by closing date.
The judges' decision will be final and the University reserves the right not to award the prize in the event it is considered that no work of sufficient merit has been submitted. Winning applicants please note the University of Melbourne reserves the right to publish the name of the winning applicant on its websites and other University of Melbourne publications.
