New Professorial Fellow Dr Zoë Laidlaw

We are delighted to announce that Dr Zoë Laidlaw of Royal Holloway University has accepted a position from the university located in the History discipline of SHAPS as professorial fellow.

Dr Laidlaw, a graduate of Melbourne and Oxford, is an expert in imperial history, especially in the nineteenth century. She is the author of Colonial Connections: Patronage, the Information Revolution and Colonial Government (2005) and is the co-convenor of the seminar series, "Reconfiguring the British: Nation, Empire, World" at the Institute of Historical Research. Professor Laidlaw will join the school in September 2018.
