Arts Peer Mentoring welcome lunch with board games

The Arts Peer Mentoring program is for all first year Bachelor of Arts students. The program is designed to connect new students with each other, and with later year students (mentors). These mentors can assist you to learn more about the University, and Melbourne as a city. During this session you can register, and enjoy a delicious pizza lunch and fun board games.

This session considers the expectations placed on Faculty of Arts students and provides strategies for independent learning, effective reading, critical thinking, note-taking and essay writing. This presentation is valuable for Bachelor of Arts students, as well as those studying Arts subjects as breadth.

This session will offer you time-saving tips and techniques for becoming a more efficient researcher online. Come along for some hands-on experience with top online Library tools in the Humanities and Arts such as journal databases for finding articles and images, apps for quality citing and referencing, websites that cover the best resources by subject area and more… Students need to bring along a device, laptop, tablet, phone etc.
