The Faculty of Arts is widely recognised as Australia’s premier Arts faculty, with our high place in the Times Higher Education world rankings reflecting our continuing commitment to excellence. The Faculty teaches over 9500 students, employs over 450 staff and offers more than 600 subjects across 40 fields of study.

Research in the Faculty of Arts contributes to a greater understanding of the society in which we live. Our research is diverse, spanning over almost forty disciplines which range from history and philosophy to creative writing, linguistics, language studies, media studies, criminology, and social policy.
