Rees Quilford

Project officer

Rees Quilford is four-generation settler Australian living on the unceded lands of the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin nations. He is a PhD candidate with the non/fictionLab of the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University. Rees’s project-based PhD is concerned with developing affective storytelling practices to engage with the everyday historical forces that shape post-colonial Australian localities. His research aspires to unpick the complex, fraught and intimate associations that exist between people, place, and archives. Rees also has more than 15 years' experience working in the higher education sector. He has held a diverse range of senior engagement roles involving the delivery of strategic communication, media, and event outcomes.
