Jim Middleton appointed Vice-Chancellor's Fellow

Veteran journalist Jim Middleton has joined the Centre for Advancing Journalism as a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow.

Jim was the ABC's US Correspondent during the Reagan years, was Chief Political Correspondent for four Prime Ministers and helped establish Triple J. He is currently Special Correspondent for Sky News.

At the CAJ he will give guest lectures, further develop audio-visual content on The Citizen and help establish international mentoring and internship opportunities.

Science Outreach Specialist Margaret Wertheim has also been appointed as a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow, to be based out of the Carlton Connect Initiative.

Speaking on both appointments, Vice-Chancellor Professor Glyn Davis said "The University is looking forward to welcoming Margaret and Jim. Their combines experience will be of great benefit to the wider University community and beyond."

Jim joins a team of Fellows at the Centre including broadcaster Ramona Koval and Dr Gael Jennings, who can currently be seen on TV screens in the ABC's Agony series.
