Arts and Cultural Policy aims to support cultural vibrant cities, states and counties. Within Australia we can find a multitude of interconnected cultural sectors that form the cultural ecology across city and regional boundaries. Artists, arts managers and governments are integral parts of this ever-changing environment and therefore need to work on policies that enable long-term sustainability and prosperity of cultural sectors. This panel discussion will highlight current trends in cultural policy, their impacts on the jazz and live music sector. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session where the music sector's voice will be heard by some of the key policy-developers in Victoria.
