Work Integrated Learning (Internships)
An internship undertaken while studying at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences will develop discipline specific and professionally oriented skills which build upon your studies.

Graduate Internship Grants
The Faculty of Arts offers internship grants to graduate coursework students who are undertaking interstate or overseas internships for credit with the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences or the Melbourne School of Government.

Graduate Coursework Conference Grants
The Faculty of Arts offers conference grants to graduate coursework students who have been invited to attend and/or present at a local, interstate or overseas conference which is relevant to their current graduate course.

Cross-institutional study
The Faculty of Arts permits graduate students to undertake subjects of equivalent standing for credit at other Australian institutions. It also offers places to applicants from other tertiary institutions.

Diploma in Languages
The Diploma in Languages is a concurrent qualification, taken at the same time as your graduate degree. It will generally add an extra year of full-time study to your degree. The Diploma in Languages comprises a 100 point sequence of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 language subjects.

Arts Student Forum
In 2021, the Faculty of Arts launched the Arts Student Forum with the inaugural meetings set to take place in 2022. The Forum will be a formal platform for regular, on-going conversations between students and Faculty staff.

Diversity Week
To recognise and celebrate our diverse community, the Faculty of Arts will be running a vibrant program of free events for Diversity Week this 19-27 March.

Overseas experience
The Faculty of Arts runs a number of overseas subjects around the world, in collaboration with partner universities. Overseas subjects typically run for a week and may also involve industry visits and cultural excursions.
