The Asia Institute Postgraduate Group and Chinese Studies Research Group are co-hosting a graduate conference at The University of Melbourne.
We cordially invite graduate students from all disciplines to submit abstracts addressing the following theme: Asia and the Middle East through time: New trends, new insights.
Although conference papers must engage with countries or regions in Asia and the Middle East, there are no specific guidelines regarding the topic. We hope to see a diverse range of papers from the humanities, social sciences, and more.
Although applicants can be at any stage of their degree, we are particularly interested in hearing from students who are preparing for their confirmation of candidature. Both individual papers and panel proposals will be accepted.
For individual papers, please submit a 150-250 word abstract. For panel proposals, please provide a title for the panel and a brief description (2-5 sentences) of the panel theme.
Please note: send your abstracts to the Asia Institute Postgraduate Group firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 1 October 2018.
