Indigenous Australia is a wealth of linguistic diversity, with more than 300 distinct languages spoken across the country. In this session, we provide a brief introduction to Australia's Indigenous languages and their fascinating characteristics, and showcase the projects we have underway in the Research Unit for Indigenous Language to help support Indigenous communities across Australia to maintain their languages.
