About Job Ready

Every semester the Job Ready program offers employability and skills training to Bachelor of Arts (BA) students. The program includes pitching the BA to employers, writing outstanding CVs, cover letters and key selection criteria documents, an alumni panel and mock interviews. At the end of the program we run mock interviews. Students are given three actual position descriptions to choose from and are given a time to attend a Mock interview with a panel of two interviewers. We will provide the questions for you to ask during the interview. This is an extremely valuable experience for the students and alumni alike. We encourage all volunteers to treat it like a real interview. An interview script and detailed instructions will be provided.

Become a Job Ready Mock Interviewer

The commitment for being a Mock Interviewer is:

  • Be available on Tuesday 29th September between 3.00-5.00pm;
  • Each interview will be of 15 minutes duration (including interview and immediate feedback);
  • Read and become familiar with the three position descriptions we will provide;
  • Use the last five minutes to give the student feedback on their performance.

This is a great opportunity to support the development of interview skills for our Job Ready students.
