2019 Conservation Student Awards
This year, three masters students at the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation at the University of Melbourne have received awards to acknowledge and support their outstanding work.
At the AICCM National conference in November, Grimwade Centre student Daniel Schwartz was honoured with the 2019 AICCM Student Conservator of the Year award. This award is generously supported by ADFAS (Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Societies). This year, Jessica Doyle was awarded the Willem Snoek Award for a volunteer training workshops project with the Daylesford Historical Society. The Alexander Copland Award for a University of Melbourne Masters of Cultural Materials Conservation minor thesis was awarded to Grace Barrand for her thesis 'Targeting Specialist Skills through Work-Integrated Learning: A Case-Study in Frames Conservation at the Art Gallery of New South Wales'.
