Feminist Ecologies: Changing Environments in the Anthropocene, a new title by Lara Stevens, Peta Tait and Denise Varney (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018), explores a variety of perspectives on ecofeminism through case studies in diverse areas, such as the arts, politics, and the economics of the mining industry. The book will be launched by Liz Conor.

Presenters

Dr Lara Stevens is Lecturer and Tutor in Theatre and Performance Studies at The University of Melbourne, Australia.

Professor Denise Varney is Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor of Theatre Studies and co-director of the Australian Centre at The University of Melbourne.

Professor Peta Tait is Professor of Theatre and Drama at La Trobe University, Visiting Professor at the University of Wollongong, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.

Dr Liz Conor is an ARC Future Fellow at La Trobe University. She is the author of Skin Deep: Settler Impressions of Aboriginal Women, (UWAP, 2016) and The Spectacular Modern Woman: Feminine Visibility in the 1920s (Indiana University Press, 2004). She is the editor of Aboriginal History, a columnist at New Matilda, and has published widely in academic and mainstream press on gender, race and representation.
