The National Centre for Contemporary Islamic Studies strategic links with government, leading institutions and professional networks will provide you with access to Australia’s foremost Islamic studies scholars and exciting research projects.
Our funding and community links will enable you to engage with well-resourced research projects in a diverse range of areas relating to Muslim societies, including modern contemporary Islamic thought, philosophy, politics, literature and gender.
You will enjoy access to fieldwork and conference attendance opportunities, both nationally and internationally. You may also have the opportunity to publish original works in academic journals and to present your research at postgraduate seminars. A research higher degree program in Islamic studies will equip you with valuable academic networks, and the skills and scholarship needed for professional engagement in international forums.
