Programme information

The School of Languages and Linguistics, the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, the School of Culture and Communication, and the School of Social and Political Studies at The University of Melbourne have partnered with the Universitas 21 ISI to offer an overseas intensive in the city of Florence. Students live in spacious apartments in the heart of Florence for three weeks. During this time they take Arts in Florence overseas intensive subject. Classes are taught in the Palazzo Rucellai, a historic residential palace designed in the mid-fifteenth century by Leon Battista Alberti, eminent Renaissance humanist, scholar and architect. Learning will also take place around the streets and squares, museums, churches and restaurants of Florence.

Daily excursions to museums, galleries, and local artisanal workshops, with lectures by the program leaders and guest experts, give students an unparalleled opportunity to learn about this breathtaking and unique city in extraordinary detail.
