Beat the winter chill at a private cinema screening of The Water Diviner, followed by an exclusive Q&A with authors, Faculty of Arts alumni Andrew Anastasios and Meaghan Wilson-Anastasios.

In the centennial year of the battle of Gallipoli and the inauguration of the ANZAC tradition, The Water Diviner is an epic, brutal, romantic, heart-wrenching and inspiring adventure of discovery. Described as 'anti-war but not anti-warrior', The Water Diviner strikes a balance that remains respectful to the ANZAC experience and to all the individuals who fought.

Following the screening, hear from Andrew and Meaghan (interviewed in our last edition of ARTiculation) as they recount their adventures in Turkey researching the film and novel and participating in numerous archaeological digs. Learn about the diverse range of regions, cuisines and geography, the blend of Arab and Ottoman history, the humid, subtropical environment and the emerald green groves of hazelnut trees.

Make yourself comfortable with a box of popcorn, a choc top and a glass of wine (all included in the ticket price!), and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the story of The Water Diviner.
