Collaborative rooms

The rooms 211 and 212 are ideal for collaboration, meetings, or video conferencing. Room 211 is appropriate for up to 7 people, and 212 has a capacity of 5.

The rooms contain

  • Video conferencing

    All the collaborative rooms are set-up for video conferencing with mics, speaker, and a HuddleCam. The HuddleCam can be manipulated using the available remote control.

    Video conferencing using Zoom
    Zoom is a high-quality video and audio online conferencing tool supported by the University. Visit the Zoom Conferencing Portal to download Zoom or for help getting started.

    Room 211 has a second camera mounted in the corner of the room with recording capabilities. If planning on using this functionality, please contact Learning Space Support or the Digital Studio digital-studio@unimelb.edu.au for assistance setting this up.

  • Laptop connectivity

    All rooms have a large screen for video conferencing or collaboration. To connect your laptop to this screen, use the available HDMI and VGA cables.

    The inputs are HDMI and VGA only, please bring your own adaptors. Some adaptors can be supplied by the Digital Studio if advanced notice (48 hours) is given.

  • Removable wall (211 and 212)

    The wall between rooms 211 and 212 can be removed to expand the available space. With an additional table this can expand the capacity of room 211 to 11 people. To use the rooms with this layout, please book both rooms and email the Digital Studio digital-studio@unimelb.edu.au to request assistance moving the wall.
