Thesis
A Non-Ideal Theory of Consent
My research explores the intersection between juridical theories of sexual consent (particularly that of affirmative consent in various Australian jurisdiction) with feminist phenomenological accounts of the body and desire. I am particularly interested in exploring how consenting is 'experienced' in the body and analysing the compatibility of that phenomenology with the relevant aims of defining sexual consent within the criminal law.
