Overview

"Podtour: A l'écoute de Melbourne is a downloadable audio walking tour in French that will take you through the streets of the city to discover some fascinating and little known facts about its history and its laneways. The concept and content of this audio tour were developed by Diane de Saint Léger, The University of Melbourne and Philippe Vallantin, Association of French Teachers in Victoria (AFTV) based on the 774 ABC radio podtour entitled "Eat, drink, Melbourne."
Audience
It is aimed at teachers, students with an intermediate level of French (3 to 4 years), Francophiles and tourists, and takes about an hour to walk.
Instructions
All is required is an Mp3 or equivalent and a good pair of shoes. (You may wish to download the activity booklet, designed to provide linguistic and visual supports throughout the visit click on the pdf entitled "student booklet"). If you are a teacher planning to take a group of students, please download the "Teacher Manual".
The tour starts at Federation Square and ends at the Old GPO, Bourke street.
