Thesis

The Futures of Intergenerational Feminist Leadership in Peacebuilding at the Nexus of the Women, Peace and Security and Youth, Peace and Security Agendas

My doctoral research explores the current state of intergenerational feminist leadership in international peacebuilding organisations such as the United Nations. Given that this type of leadership sits at the nexus of the Youth, Peace and Security and Women, Peace and Security agendas of the United Nations, I investigate how these agendas and those implementing them envision the futures of intergenerational feminist leadership. Using foresight, together with my research participants we map the current state of affairs as well as the desired and undesired futures for peace and security should intergenerational feminist leadership be implemented or withheld from international organisations.
