Audio/Visual loan equipment

The Faculty of Arts has a range of high quality equipment for loan to graduate students in specialised subjects. Some items may be available for use by capstone and other subjects to help with course and subject requirements.

A range of high-quality equipment is available for loan to Faculty of Arts students in specialist subjects for specific subject requirements.  A small pool of equipment may be available to other Faculty of Arts students for use in their assessment.

Please note: We are a facility for the Faculty of Arts ONLY and are UNABLE to loan to other parts of the University.

Most items are used for specific subject teaching and therefore are reserved exclusively for use by the subject's students and in teaching and therefore is unavailable for general loan.  All equipment is subject to availability, must be used for teaching and learning purposes and only on a short-term basis of around two to three days. Occasionally the loan period for fieldwork or longer-term projects may be extended at the Loans Officer's discretion.

The equipment is available for use only by currently enrolled Faculty of Arts students studying specialist subjects and is offered free of charge.

There is a small range of equipment available in the general pool including:

• digital voice recorders
• digital still cameras
• digital video cameras
• smooth-head tripods
• radio lapel microphones

Booking requests

Student bookings for equipment in specialist subjects, are made via the specific link to Checkfront in your subject's LMS site.
Your student /staff card must be presented when collecting equipment.

Teaching staff can book equipment or submit equipment inquiries via the Faculty of Arts staff intranet.

Hours

Equipment pick up and drop off is available Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm. Due to other duties, we are unable to issue equipment or accept returns outside of these times.
