Join us for an interactive ArtsModules Q&A session focused on doing qualitative research interviews / navigating fieldwork during your PhD candidature and beyond. Bring along your questions and put them to our panel of Academics from a range of disciplines. We’re inviting questions on a variety of research and fieldwork approaches and methodologies, touching on ethics matters, observation style research, oral history interviews, and more.

Panelists:

Signe Ravn
is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology in the School of Social and Political Sciences. Signe's research is based in the sociology of youth with a particular focus on risk, gender, disadvantaged youth, and processes of marginalisation in youth transitions to adulthood.

Eddie Paterson lectures in scriptwriting for theatre, contemporary performance, new media and games in the School of Culture and Communication. His research explores intersections between performance and everyday life - with a focus on radical writing practices, disability arts and climate politics.

Maria Karidakis is a lecturer at the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne. Her PhD from the University of Melbourne focused on interpreting of Indigenous languages in medical settings.
