Welcome to Country

Professors Walk (outside Arts West)

The Arts West building is situated on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. Since the time of their ancestors, the Wurundjeri people have employed Smoking Ceremonies to cleanse places and people of bad spirits to promote the wellbeing of people and guests on Country. We're honoured that the Wurundjeri Land Council will be performing this ceremony at the commencement of the festival.
