Exhibition acknowledgements

We are pleased to present Didar – Stories of Middle Eastern Manuscripts. This exhibition brings together more than two decades of investigation into these manuscripts by the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation. As a student-led project, this exhibition would not have been possible without the valuable contribution of alumni Dr Sadra Zekrgoo and current students Nasim Koohkesh, Sunita Lewis, Daniel Bornstein, Eleanor Zeitz, Leandra Flores, Elizabeth Gralton, Simone Dowd, Uswa Qureshi, Katherine Pigott and Asli Gunel.

Thank you to those shared their stories for the video project: Sherene Hassan, Dr Mahmoud Mohammed, Dr Zahra Zamani and Hannah Motevallian, Reem Sweid, Zain AlHindi. We are very grateful to Hosein Rabiei for the wonderful calligraphy and Sareh Abooali for the 3D manuscript models.
