The Political Economy of Taiwan's Media Industry and its Impact on Journalism and Public Diplomacy
Jasmine's research examines the political economy of Taiwan's media industry and interactions with journalism and foreign affairs during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her project focuses on the impact digital technologies have on the media industry, especially regarding relations with the state. It also explores how partisan journalism in Taiwan influences domestic policies and creates larger socio-economic issues for the future of the state.
