Biodeterioration Methodologies and Their Effect On Acrylic Painting Surfaces in Asia Pacific Region

Building her PhD research project based on the biodeterioration methodologies and their effect on Acrylic paintings on tropical climate, she will collaborate with the microbiology unit of the School of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences to identify the common microbiome seen in tropical climates in modern paint. This project will focus on these positive and challenging effects of microbial networks in heritage and cultural materials conservation contexts. By integrating various knowledge domains from heritage professions, Artists and material scientists, thus her goal is to understand microbial networks and their ability to spread and proliferate across collections, sites and develop effective and informed biodeterioration outcomes.
