Dr Annisa R. Beta

Dr Annisa R. Beta is lecturer in Cultural Studies at the School of Culture and Communication, Faculty of Arts, The University of Melbourne and an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) fellow (2023-2025). Her research is broadly concerned with youth, new media, and political subjectivity in Southeast Asia. Before moving to Melbourne, from 2018 to 2019 Annisa was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Communications and New Media, National University of Singapore (NUS). She received her PhD from NUS in 2018. While completing her doctoral degree, she was also a Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. Her first book, Pious Girls, which traces an emerging feminine and pious political subjectivity in Indonesia, is forthcoming (Routledge).
Dr Annisa R. Beta adalah pengajar untuk topik Cultural Studies di School of Culture and Communication, Faculty of Arts, The University Melbourne dan Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) fellow (2023-2025).
