Professor M. Mohtar Mas'oed

Prof. Dr. M. Mohtar Mas'oed is Professor of International Relations at Universitas Gadjah Mada. He received his PhD in Political Science from Ohio State University (1983). He has published several books including: The New Order's Economic and Political Structure, Bureaucracy, Politics and Development, International Political Economy and Development,  Comparison of Political Systems and International Relations: Discipline and Methodology. He is a generalist with a wide range of academic knowledge. His research and teaching covers a wide range of academic fields, such as: International Political Economy, Political Economy of Development, Gender and Politics as well as Area Studies, especially issues concerning the Global South.

Prof. Dr. M. Mohtar Mas'oed adalah Guru Besar Hubungan Internasional di Universitas Gadjah Mada. Dia menerima gelar PhD dalam Ilmu Politik dari Ohio State University. Prof. Mas'oed telah menerbitkan buku berjudul Ekonomi dan Struktur Politik Orde Baru, Birokrasi, Politik dan Pembangunan, Ekonomi Politik Internasional dan Pembangunan, Perbandingan Sistem Politik, dan Ilmu Hubungan Internasional: Disiplin dan Metodologi. Dia adalah seorang generalis dengan berbagai pengetahuan akademis. Prof. Mas'oed merintis berbagai kajian di Indonesia, antara lain Ekonomi Politik Internasional, Pemikiran Politik, Metodologi Hubungan Internasional, Politik Komparatif Asia Tenggara, Timur Tengah, dan Amerika Latin, Hubungan Transnasional, Demokrasi, serta Gender dan Politik.
