About
The Kiaw Lim Memorial Award supports domestic students undertaking either Chinese or Indonesian language or cultural studies.

Benefits
Up to $10,000 is available and a living allowance of approximately $5,000 per year will be paid in instalments for the remaining standard full-time duration of your course (two years).
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be commencing the second year of the Bachelor of Arts degree; and,
- studying either Chinese language or cultural studies and/or Indonesian language or cultural studies.
Selection criteria
The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who makes the most compelling case for support by demonstrating:
- the strongest academic track record;
- dedication to success in Chinese or Indonesian language of cultural studies; and,
- the skills, experience and aptitude required to carry out the proposed project as evidenced by the application.
Conditions
Recipients are required to:
- accept the award online within 21 days; and,
- provide a short report at the end of each calendar year and at the end of your scholarship activities.
Outcome
Applicants are advised of the outcome via email within 8-10 weeks.
Application process
Eligible applicants must complete the online application form, including:
- a 500 word statement outlining how the scholarship would benefit your Chinese or Indonesian language or cultural studies, and how you can demonstrate a track record of academic excellence and your commitment to academic success;
- at least one academic reference;
- a current statement of results; and,
- any other information to support the application that may assist the committee in making its decision.
