Melbourne International Film Festival Screen Studies Prize

About

One annual award to the highest achieving third year student in screen studies who continues onto the Honours Screen Studies program or the Master of Arts and Cultural Management.

Benefits

A Melbourne International Film Festival Deluxe Membership and $1,000.

Eligibility

To be considered for this prize, you must have achieved the best overall result in the third year Screen Studies program and continued into the fourth year Honours Screen Studies program or the Master of Arts and Cultural Management.

Conditions

Recipients are required to:

• accept the award online within 21 days.

Outcome

The award will be announced as soon as practical after the March 31 census date.

Application process

There is no application process. The prize is awarded based on merit and the successful recipient will be notified via email.

I am honoured to be awarded the Melbourne International Film Festival Screen Studies Prize and extremely grateful for the generous award of $1000 and MIFF 2019 Festival Passport. At present I am studying honours in Screen & Cultural Studies and the festival passport will provide me with an excellent opportunity to further develop my skills in film review and criticism at the Melbourne International Film Festival. I also hope to use the cash prize to assist in funding a short film I am currently developing.
