About
Asian Art Research (AAR) is located in the School of Culture and Communication (SCC), Faculty of Arts, The University of Melbourne. It seeks to raise the profile of Asian art studies within and beyond the SCC from the periphery to a new centre.
AAR aims to promote scholarly enquiry across disciplinary boundaries, unite interests around new centres, cultivate appreciation of diversity within and beyond the University, and normalise engagement with Asian art and culture. As a platform for disseminating research and promoting academic exchange, AAR represents a hub of activity and intersection for art history and Asia studies.
