Shouyue Zhang

Shouyue Zhang is a history PhD student at the University of Melbourne. He received a bachelor's degree with honours in history from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and a master's degree in history from Indiana University Bloomington. Shouyue is interested in the history of the Chinese diaspora, U.S. immigration, and gender.

Shouyue's dissertation studies Asian immigrants' survival from anti-Asian racism in North America and their fight for U.S. citizenship from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century.
