Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Sociology and a Post-Graduate Research Diploma in Media & Communications from Monash University. A travel writer and journalist, he has written for the likes of Lonely Planet and National Geographic Traveller. A digital nomad himself for over a decade, he brings vast experiential capital to his ongoing research on digital nomadism.

In Search of Community: Mobility, Social Transience and Economies of Belonging.
My ethnographic and multi-sited research focuses on the underlying tensions that emerge between the pursuit of (hyper) mobility and the search for community and a sense of belonging amongst digital nomads and how these tensions are negotiated through a range of strategies - some through the market, others not.
