Racialised Policing: Thinking with Theory
Over the last two decades, police-informed depictions of 'African gangsters' have been contested by campaigns to reform discriminatory and brutal policing practices affecting young men of African-background. This thesis opens up the discussion by applying a thinking with theory methodology. 'Thinking with' a series of concepts and a broad range of informing materials including police public commentary and training materials this thesis describes White Nation policing and young men of African-background's urgent need to be someone other than the next Rodney King.
