Women's Agency: A case study of Akha women's reproductive health decision-making
My research explores Akha women's agency, focusing on understanding their reproductive decision-making processes grounded in their everyday life context. Drawing on interdisciplinary approach of culture, psychology, and sociology, and applying an ethnographic approach, I seek to understand how they make decisions about whether and when to have children, how many children they want to have, including where to give birth, whether to use modern methods of contraception, and what contraceptive choices they prefer.
