Screening of Boramey: Ghosts in the Factory

We warmly invite you to a screening of Boramey: Ghosts in the Factory, followed by a conversation with its co-director and producer, Ivan Franceschini.

Boramey: Ghosts in the Factory is a documentary that follows the lives of Cambodian garment workers navigating precarious labour conditions and the spectral presence of those who came before them. Official Selection, Workers Unite Film Festival 2021.

After the screening, Ivan Franceschini will introduce the Global China Lab — the research and creative infrastructures he has built across journals, maps, documentaries, NGO work and events — and reflect on how this sprawling, versatile body of work came together. The event will close with an open Q&A with the researcher whose work spans traditional and non-traditional academic forms, bridging scholarly inquiry with public engagement.
