Electricity and the devil – A Play
As part of Pheno 03: Outside Broadcast

My voice keeps changing on me*

This exhibition and its performances, events and artworks (Pheno 03: Outside Broadcast), is led by an object that can’t thusly talk and started in a café in L'Île-Saint-Denis, on the outskirts of Paris, it took up considerable steam over one month at Bivy in Anchorage, and now arrives in Sydney and Melbourne to be hooked up live with phone booths far away and in distant cities. Outside Broadcast goes on the hunt, in the field, for the live fragments then brings them back to the studio for the audience to work on, like bursting live tableaux from French Painting, eschewing well worn formats and ready to be overwhelmed by precisely what-we-don’t-know (together).

Here this installment comes to you as Elecricity & the Devil (Musical director: Michele Robecchi; Script with Eloise Mignon) with the participation of: Pheno,  Justin Clemens, Esther Edquist, Emily Shaw, Jon Campbell, The Telepathy Project, Ruby Lowe, Simon Barney, Lisa Radford, Jules Bernagaud, Christopher L. G. Hill, Callum Morton, Masato Takasaka, Sue Cramer, and  more… with Rosie Isaac as the Translator.

*At Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Sydney and University of Melbourne, Endless Lonely Planet, and Haydens in Melbourne.
