Graduate Research Orientation
Welcome to Graduate Research in the Faculty of Arts!
All new graduate research students will receive an email in mid-January with details on how to register for the Arts Graduate Research Orientation and Induction Day. The event will be held on Thursday of O-Week, and students are strongly encouraged to keep this free to attend.
Attendance at this mandatory half-day Orientation is essential for all commencing students enrolled in the PhD-Arts and MA by Research programs.

Networking Reception Lunch Following the session, enjoy a social lunch – a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow students and staff. |
School Induction Afterward, we’ll guide you to your school building for an induction where you’ll receive an overview of the facilities available, along with insights into the academic support offered within your discipline. Meet the academic leads supporting graduate researchers within your school and how they’ll support you throughout your degree, including how your progress will be monitored. You’ll also be introduced to the various resources, facilities, and communities available to you, along with important health and safety guidelines. |
